Back to Where It All Started Blue Mesa is where I made first contact with Kokanee. As a Kansas boy growing up catching catfish and bass on farm ponds the whole concept of inland salmon blew my mind. Never imagined it becoming the obsession that it is now.

Fished Crane Prairie on May 20th and found some very nice Kokanee flatlining on the south end of the lake. Fish were mostly 17-18.5" in size and very fat!
