My go to color has been the color blue... black is also a great choice. Darker colors have more contrast down deep. Of course with kokanee some days you end up using every color in the tackle box... 101duh101

Should work... years ago i remenber reading about the "wickiup sandwich". I believe it consisted of corn, maggots, cocktail shrimp, and mealworms.... mainly used for still fishing and jigging.

I've read the bingo bug and frisky fly do work for trout/kokanee ... been carrying them in my tackle box for around 10 years now but have yet to try one.

Yep, bobber stops and soft oval glow beads. The melting issue i had was mainly with a certain company years back that used transparent colored plastic beads... they have since fixed the problem. On a side note.. try rigging up apex's with bobber stops to adjust your hook set- back... some days...

The only time i use worms for kokanee is to get rid of them after chasing rainbows early season each year... and only for jigging (with a piece or two of corn.) Doesn't seem to make a whole lot of difference though... where i fish corn works fine alone.

I wondered about those things when they went on the market as a kokanee lure... 101smilie101
