If you are looking for good place to see lots of wildlife,trees,not as much wind and some good fishing I would go to sheep creek. If all you care about is catching fish and lots of fish I would go to BuckBoard. Just have something planned for the afternoon when you get blown off the lake.

I fished it a couple of years ago. At first I targeted kokes but I wasnt able to get any over 12". We did get some nice brook trout. the last few days we targeted lake trout and did do good on them. I would love to go back but the last time the dirt road was really slow going.

I have a friend that likes to fish it instead of FG(to many people) and he said that the koke fishing up there this year has been really slow. I havent made it up there this year to have first hand report.

I have caught kokes that have been caught before. I have a hard time thinking that they will not live after I catch them but they will live for hours in my live well. We caught one in the fishing derby at 9:30am and turned it in at 5:00 pm and it was still alive till we put it in a plastic sack...

If you go to rockymountaintackle.com they have a good gorge package. Its just start of the stuff you will get.

I did good today also from 15-30 but most of my fish where caught at 15-20. Each weekend im getting closer to that four pounds. The best today was 3.89. Short week at work and then will be back at the lake.

You got to love this weather. Woke up to snow this morning. We did pretty good Saturday and Sunday. 53 kokes from north of Buckboard to skunk cliffs. The best on was 3.4 but did get 4 over 3 pounds. Pink rmt flasher and a double glow pink squid. All was caught from 10'to30' .

Good Job Jim!!! It was a good 3 days for me. 70-80 kokes the best one was 3.5 on Friday. It was good to see everyone. I hope someone else picks up the derby next year. Hope to see everyone at the Buckboard derby. It would be nice to see 300 teams in it.

Just got our number back. 234. Now just have tofind the kokes. Im think I will be there this Sunday if I can talk the family into it.

If you can I would make sure u get the ones with the big booms. Some day u might want to get four and u will need the longer booms.

My fishing partner got his form so its on again. Hope we get some warm weather. We had snow last night and a high of 38 today.

Make sure you tie off from three spots. That's what I do and so far I haven't had any problems. I would put one of those plastic hull savers.
