Dave, I run a lot of mid-sized dodgers all year long no matter the depth. I used them a lot and even the 8 inch sling blades at Flaming Gorge last year when the water clarity was terrible and did well. Basically, what I am saying is, "Go for it!" :)

I figured it would be about a 30 to 40 minute drive every morning to Buckboard. It doesn't look too far to Lucerne. I never fished that area before. I've always fished out of Buckboard.

I think you will have trouble finding a reel for Kokanee that meets your criteria for $50. However, that doesn't mean it is NOT possible. Are you looking new or used? With the recent push and popularity for Tica reels, I'm sure that someone will be willing to sell their Abu Garcia 4600s...

Yup. Sorry. I meant rentals. There's some places, at least here in CA, that will actually deliver the trailer or RV to your campground for you and pick it back up after you leave. I was just wondering if there's a business like that around Flaming Gorge.

Does anyone know if there are RV dealers in Green River or Rock Springs that will deliver an RV or travel trailer to your location and set it up for you? Has anyone stayed at the Lake View cabins in Manila? Just wondering about your experiences. Thanks! :)
