    Green Peter Report

DLM, you didn't tell me anything about the net......maybe I ran into you before you lost it, this second one I meanlaugh hystlaugh hyst Nice running into you on the lake. Well, I didn't really run into you, but anytime I see someone off by themselves fishing away from the floatilla I suspect...

    Hoochies, Short or Long

This hoochie may not work for those smaller fish at the gorge, but here in Oregon it is just about right. The main problem is finding the right size dodger to make it dance.

    Losing fish????????????????

My cousin said his dads rule was that if a 6 inch fish cant take line your drag was to tight. Agreed.

Some words to the wise about trailers

    Glow Spinner Blades

I haven't yet, still researching. I too could not find anything on the fin-tech site, sent them an email but as yet have not had any response.

    Glow Spinner Blades

Does anyone have a source for high quality glow in the dark spinner blades? I have seen some available on the internet but hate to place an order without a recommendation from another kokehead. I have bought what was supposed to be glow in the dark products in the past and all I got was...

    Your position on Transom Savers

My dealer said to always trailer the boat with the motor as vertical as possible. Mine was too low to trailer in the down position so he suggested the 2x4 method. When I lower the engine onto the 2x4 I make sure there is a little compression, about 1/4 inch, and have never lost a board. I am...

    Trolling Direction

Plus from first light (or a little before;)) I use green flashers, either flashlites or green tape on standard cowbells, then later in the morining switch to brass or silver or red. Green seems to be the key at dawn.

Some words to the wise about trailers

A little grease will help the hitch settle over the ball and will keep your trailer tracking straighter. I have a utility trailer I have to be very careful of. Often it looks like the hitch has settled all the way over the ball, but if you feel underneath and get down and look close, you can...

    HUS Lures

I understand the HUS lure is pretty common in the east, but we don't see them much out here in civilized country;) Is anyone using them on kokes and if so what size, colors, with dodgers, with flashers, etc.

    Max hook distance behind lure?

What about a stinger hook. You can get them in single hooks or treble. Basspro has them in 2 and 3 inch size that would clip on to the existing eye.

Are you buying more on the internet lately?

Are you shopping more on line than you used too? I am and here is an example of why. I have been in the market for an inflatable life jacket and did a lot of price comparisons. The model I wanted was $251.00 at a Portland retailer. (could not find it in Salem). I searched the internet...

    Max hook distance behind lure?

What type of lure are you talking about? On an Apex, I use a rubber bobber stopper between the hook and the lure so I can adjust on the fly depending on the desires of the fish that day.

    Hi Vis Braided Line ???

I am about to change the line on my jig/bait rod. I have done some research and can find nothing but good things said about Fins brand line so I think that will be the way I go. My question is does anyone use or have thoughts on the high visibility line. Fins offers a red and a yellow in Hi...

How do you charge your glows?

thumbsup Thanks for all the replies guys, lots of good ideas. I also found a device called the Lure Lightning, super powerful light that runs off your 12v and can be mounted in the boat. Looks good but I don't think I need anything more mounted in the boat. I think I am going with the uv...
