    Lp sucks buckets!

Jim, We had a crew up there on Wed 2/15. Said there was ice around the edges but didn't seem that thick and could probably be broken to launch. Also said up towards the dam was completely frozen over. They said the section all in front of the boat ramp was wide open and then when you move up...

    Arrowrock trip

Jim, Thanks for all the good info. I too am surprised that you caught it on kokanee gear. Pretty amazing. Well glad to know that they are still out there swimming around collecting data. Good luck fishing. Lucky

    Arrowrock trip

Jimbojump Hey I was wondering if you had more information on that bull trout. I work for the Bureau of Reclamation and we tagged those fish this past winter. Could you tell me the general health of the fish, where you caught it, what you caught it on, and would you happen to have any close up...

    Beginner-Mores Creek

It is very tough to catch Kokes on the shore. I suspect you will get more rainbow than Kokes. Could try the spinner and then maybe throw out a worm on your daughters pole. Good luck! Lucky

Deadwood should be fine in August. Fish and Game will put their weir in around the middle of August to trap the spawners. Good luck. Scott Mtn road is open and good. Lucky

    Fishing Arrowrock

I was at Arrowrock May 11th. Just working not fishing but we put a boat in on the ramp. Elevation that day was 3155.71' and now the elevation is 3181.90' so you will have no problem getting a boat in. There was a lot of debris in the water due to the high flows so watch out for that...

    Deadwood

I just got the report. The lake is still fully iced over. It is starting to melt off where all the tribs are coming in. The airstrip is still fully covered with 1' of snow. Scott Mountain has a ton of snow on it still. Will be sometime before getting up there. Moose: I've only fished a...

    Deadwood

You should be fine fishing in July. You might just miss the cutthroat bite which is very fun, but the Kokanee fishing will still be good. There is a crew flying up to Deadwood today, so I'll have some info on how much snow is up there and how much ice is still on the reservoir later this...

    Deadwood

I highly doubt anyone will be going to deadwood anytime soon! I flew up there via helicopter April 20th and the reservoir was still completely frozen over and there was 3 to 4 feet of snow still on the ground. Anyone planning on going up should check with the forest service to see when the...

    Lucky Peak Kokes 2011

Naper, We have a 14' Yukon with a black stripe down the side. Most of the day I was wearing a camo float coat and then later when it got warm I had a maroon sweatshirt on. Were you fishing with your son and daughter? Lucky

    Lucky Peak Kokes 2011

We were up there on Sunday the 17th. It was tough fishing. Fished from the AM till about 11:30. We landed 7 in the boat and lost 7. Had to work much harder for them. Think the bite has turned off some. Lucky

    Lucky Peak Kokes 2011

Took my brother in law out on Sunday. It was fast and furious. Caught 12 in two hours, probably lost another 20. Twice all 4 rods were hit for us. Biggest fish was 16". Great day and great fishing for my brother in law who is from Omaha and hasn't really fished much. He had a blast and...

    Lucky Peak Kokes 2011

If I remember correctly, the largest fish was 16 1/2". We too were impressed by the size. I think we are heading out on Sunday so I should have a report next week too. Good luck fishing. Lucky

    Lucky Peak Kokes 2011

Feb Sorry it has taken me so long to post this but I've been out of town. We hit Lucky Peak late Feb and trolled for quite some time without a single hit. Finally we switched to a larger ford fender and a pure green wedding ring tipped with magots. Found them. Nice size for this time of year.

    Deadwood 2010

How many years ago did they plant the chinook? They have been running a weir up there in the fall to capture kokanee and harvest their eggs for a number of years. If this continues, they will start to capture some of the chinook as they are running up the river. This will give them some...

    Deadwood 2010

Deadwood I spent quite a few weeks up there working and got the lines in the water a few times. The fishing was fast as usual and the fish were around 12-14 inches. Always great up there when I've been there. Fish and Game ran their weirs again this year so should still be good. I guess...
