    6/12 koke day

Bduck, thanks for the help on a fishing location. Over the course of our trip we would always return there and pick up 1 or 2 kokes. It was pretty slow all week. We picked up our largest north of anvil on the west side. North of anvil was nothing but macks. tried fishing king fisher Island area...

    6/12 koke day

Yes, I love the pipe line area. It's like fishing in a picture. tis probably my most favorite spot. I actually have a clamp on one of the cables, that I made for my dad when he worked for northwest pipeline. camping on swim beach. Will hit anvil draw, squaw hallow and breeze hill or should I...

    6/12 koke day

Help Can I ask a dumb question. where is Rawlins on the gorge? I'm heading up Tuesday and I'm a little worried about the conditions. Koke fishing has been in radio silence lately. Going to be spending a boat load of money to get up there and haven't been up in a long time for that very reason...

    ABOUT DONE WITH THIS FORUM

SORRY I'm sorry to here that you feel that way. I don't fish the gorge much anymore. the system in place for fishing up there has priced me out. Between gas, ais sticker, food, time traveling (including check station), state fishing stamp, road side camping fees, it just has made it way to...

    Damn side of flaming gorge

I have a family outing this july at dutch john. I have never fished for kokes farther south than sheep creek. It will drive me nuts being on the gorge and not being north of the pipe line. Does anyone have good pointers where to pick up kokes down on the damn side without traveling more than 30...

    SALT LAKE TO BUCKBOARD

I have always only traveled to Anvil draw to hunt for kokes. This year I would like to make it to Buckboard. For those that fish buckboard from salt lake which way do you travel. Is it better to go through green river or just keep going up from anvil draw.(better,as in faster)?

    nissan trolling motor

good choice on the yamaha signfishin do you care if I ask how much? I'm running a 5hp merc from my old boat and it is a short shaft. Doesn't quite hack it on my 20 footer in strong wind. I'm getting the koke bug bad right now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Downrigger Pulley's

I would test anything you use first. try it now on something other than the pulleys (at home), it could be anything. I would look for what it dose long term. I know WD-40 when it drys out becomes tacky. At work we are not allowed to use it because of this. I would hate to see you have to clean...

summer 2011..high gas prices and high water

Ok, thread has gotten long; good stuff if you are in the know. On a more notable note. Two years ago during the high water year, when do you remember the water turning muddy. I know I was up there in july and it was all screwed up. I know weather this year will effect it differently; But does...

This may be a dumb question but...

how do you keep your batteries charged for say a weeks worth of fishing? If you haven't heard or smelled the lastest 4 strokes, you could be in for a treat. I can carry on a normal conversation a full throttle with my 200 hp yamaha, a kicker is even more quiet. I don't even think my 2 stroke is...

This may be a dumb question but...

there are very big diference's in silcone. When I said pure I meant glazing silcone, it is the only one to use. If glazing silcone can hold my 220 gal fish tank together for years, it will keep water out on any boat. a gal of water weighs 8.35 pounds, @ 220 gals thats 1837 pounds. sounds like a...

This may be a dumb question but...

I use to own a fiber glass boat. we use scotty right angled mounts. here is a pic. what is nice about the right angle mount is, when removed it leaves nothing on top of the gunnel. It is a pretty sweet set up. I would go with the happy troller, but having a second motor is a good piece of mind...
