Green Peter - Labor Day weekend 70 fish

Green Peter The bigger fish were still in pretty good shape for the most part. The biggest males were getting a bit grey, but all the fish grilled up just fine. Hope you can get up to Green Peter and catch some of these fine fish!

Green Peter - Labor Day weekend 70 fish

We fished Green Peter Labor Day weekend and ended up with 70 for the 3 days. Our barbecue grill is getting a work out this week. We fished initially east of the island a mile and found lots of smaller fish. Later we ended up just south of the island and got into some nice fish, up to 14" size...

    Green Peter Report

I fished Green Peter the three days of Labor Day weekend. Saturday and Sunday were quite wet to say the least! Very little boat traffic for a holiday weekend. The fishing was quite good. We fished downriggers at 60 - 70 feet south of the island in the center of the lake. We used Sling Blade...

    Green Peter Report

We fished Green Peter Sat. 8-1-09 with good success. The launch at Whitcomb Cr. is really down there but we did manage to get the boat in the water. We started fishing around 7am and had good success for several hours. Pink UV hoochies from Rocky Mt. Tackle really worked well behind Sling...

    Green Peter Report

We fished Green Peter Friday 7-24-09, Saturday and Sunday. We fished mainly in the area south of the island and then also between the island and the floating restroom. Overall the fishing was good and we ended the weekend with 52 fish. Some were small, but there were some dandies in there...

    Green Peter Report

Richard, Thanks for the advice on where to start fishing. We'll start there on Friday morning and see how it goes. I caught a 21", 4 lb. Chinook right in that area on the 4th of July weekend. Thanks again, Dan

    Green Peter Report

Thanks all for the nice compliments on the big chinook at G.P. I think the kokanee eat better but that was a whole lot of fun bringing in that big one. It took about 15 minutes of pulling to get him in. I just last year switched from 6 lb. to 8 lb. line and I'm sure glad I had that on. Dan

    Green Peter Report

Here is an add on to my earlier post for the July 4th weekend. We fished parts of the 3 day weekend and ended up with 35 fish in the cooler. Some were in the 12 - 13" size range, some were smaller. But we had a grand prize catch - a 21", 4 lb. Chinook. We caught the Chinook at 45' between...

    Green Peter Report

Green Peter 7-3-09 We fished Green Peter Friday 7-3-09 and Saturday earning morning 7-4-09. Friday morning first thing we caught eight between 5:30am and 6:30am and then it tailed off from there. A green UV hoochie behind a green UV dodger from Rocky Mountain Tackle was the best producer...

    Green Peter Kokanee Derby

Kokanee derby Brian, Sorry I can't make it to Green Peter, my home lake for the derby. My work is taking me out of town that weekend. Good luck to everyone! We had good success last year southeast from the island towards the floating restroom. Dan

Congratulations Brian on those Wickiup kokanee! Thanks for the report, and it gives me some ideas to try and Green Peter when that starts improving in a month or so.
