Any word on the launch? Was thinking of making a trip up there tomorrow but don't want to waste the gas if the launch is under a foot of snow.

Does anyone know if there is going to be any koke derbies here in washington for 2011? I fished the Lake Stevens derby last year and had alot of fun, it would be nice to fish more derbies like that without having to travel down to Oregon or elsewhere.

I have been getting out on Stevens at least once a week without much luck. went up to Baker lake for the weekend and the koke bite was really good. I even got to see a guy catch about a six or seven pound dolly after it ate the six inch kokanee on his line. m

I fished the majority of Sunday on Lake Stevens as well, with the same results. Used the Koke troll with a red wedding ring then switched over to a chartruese Hum Dinger behind a Slingblade, both with not even a hit. I did see a few fish on top, think maybe i'll bring the fly rod next time and...

Gene, I was at the launch on Sunday when you where pulling out (blue Duroboat). Good to see someone from this site out there! I grew up fishing Baker and have always done well with maggots right off the Kulshan launch.
