    Kokes on The Bite 5/22!

Got on the water about 8am and motored south. What a beautifully quiet day at the lake I'd be surprised if there were 5 other boats within eyesight at anytime today. Fishing was unproductive so at about 9:45 we stopped for a fetch break. Trolling back out of the cove I picked up a couple bows...

    Beautiful Day 5/15

We didn't mark any went out again this last Tuesday the 17th and the fishing was on we boated 4 nice kokes and 22'' rainbow. We found all fish at 12' or less feet a little too shallow to see on the graph I think.

    Beautiful Day 5/15

Put in at BB yesterday morning and made the long haul to the pipeline. Fished there about an hour before spooling up and running back north to breeze. Hooked a nice 19" koke at about 10:30 and one more at 1 but other than that it was pretty slow. We were running droppers at 15 and 20 and...

    4/8/22 Lost Dog

Launched at backboard this morning and motored north to lost dog. Fished the confluence back to the main channel. Trolled several different spots on the way back to BB. Ran 2 long lines and 2 Downriggers with a little bit of everything throughout the day. We covered water 5'-30' hunting for...

    Excellent Morning of Fishing 8/14/21

Got out extra early this morning. Left Rock Springs at 4 and was slipping out of the marina at about 5:30 after a quick stop for fuel in GR. I motored down the lake cautiously and dropped my lines in front of the island at 540. 5:45 I hooked a laker pup and really considered keeping him with how...

How has Kokanee been impacted in your state?

Fishing the same fisheries as you I can also echo your concerns, and observations. I grew up fishing for kokes at the gorge. My dad had a 7 day long change at work and kept a boat slipped at BB for years and I lived there in the summer time as a kid. He'd never believe the number of boats on...

    Berry Slow 8/6-8/8

[SIZE=4]My Wife and I ventured to Strawberry Res for the first time this last weekend. We launched at Soldier, and camped off the boat in one of the coves near the narrows. We've been just blowing up an air mattress on the floor of the boat for our sleeping accommodations and despite the heavy...

    Boats, Boats, Boats

Thank you! I'm in love my old boat topped out at 28mph and made getting down the lake pretty boring. I'm pushing 47mph out of our new little boat and grinning ear to ear as we're skipping down the lake. tooexcited Cheers Mike

    Berry Slim 8-04-2021

Man does that sound like the theme of the season just about everywhere. I'm heading to Strawberry for the first time tomorrow afternoon. We're planning on camping off the boat near the narrows. I'm excited to catch a few cutties, I believe you can keep 2 as long as they're under 15'' does that...

    Boats, Boats, Boats

New Ride ! Just picked up a 2015 TJ Explorer 185/paired with a 2017 Yamaha VMax 150 SHO. The engine only had 13hrs on it when I picked it up in Idaho, I just did the 20hr service. The boat had never been fished out of and wasn't rigged to do so at all. But it didn't take my long to get all my...

    Flaming Gorge trip report.

Conditions are tough and I know the local guides are feeling the pressure. I've been fishing kokes at the gorge for near 30 years, and this is one of the toughest seasons I can remember. I fished this last Saturday and sunday, and never hooked a koke despite countless marks on my fish finder...

    Gorge intel?

I've been getting it handed to me the last couple weeks. The Kokes are schooled up, and I'm marking tons of fish. I'm stacking both my downriggers with everything from green, pink, orange, blue, purple -hoochies spinners spoons with very little success. I tip everything with pro cure soaked shoepeg...

    Skunked 6/30

    Skunked 6/30

Hit the water about 7:30 on Friday, started between Lowe canyon and squaw hollow and trolled North to breeze hill. Then trolled across and South to skunk cliffs and back to squaw hollow. I didn't have a single bite all day! I switched gear up a lot more than usual trying to gain some interest...
