2020 Anderson Ranch Reservoir Kokanee Report

Due Diligence If you read something on this forum that doesn't sound right, please check on it yourself. Based on what I read here last week I called the state police and the Boise National Forest and learned that what I read here was silly nonsense.

Lighter colored meat We kept 28 of the bigger ones the other day and 4 had the lighter colored meat. I had not seen this before. Have the lighter colored fish changed to a different forage base?

TR-1 TR-1= Best money ever spent for me. Really allows me to enjoy the fishing and maximize the interaction with guests on my boat while preventing things like boat spinning when multiple hookups. Even more valuable when trying to keep 4 downriggers fishing when the catching is good.

2018 Anderson Ranch Reservior Kokanee Fishing Report

Weekend at Anderson Good weekend at Anderson. Fished from daylight until noon on Saturday and from daylight to 11:30 on Sunday. Kept 37 Saturday and 25 on Sunday. Maybe 12 total were 16 or better. 30-35ft seemed to be the best depth. We did our best to fish by ourselves as much as we could so...

2017 Anderson Ranch Reservoir Kokanee Fishing Report

I'm sorry to say I have no news about the docks. We did catch 30+ koks on Sunday, though. Unfortunately they were all smallish (12"-14"). There were no eggs in any of the ones we finally ended up keeping for dinner so I am assuming they are next year's fish. We were fishing half way between Lime...

Benefits of no docks Enjoy the bright side. Nobody is blocking access (the ramps) by misusing the docks. I almost hope they leave them out all year.

And I was trying not to be a dick. Between the entitled whiners who complain about not getting enough secrets to this stuff. This site has deteriorated to point where I will just stop.

Chinook photo Can't really see inside the mouth but I'm almost certain that is a chinook. The large Bull trout we catch while fishing for spring chinook have unnaturally large bug eyes and bright pink spots. In the high mountain lakes and streams they can be almost dark green in color. Look...

Anderson 5/21-22 We fished Anderson most of Saturday and for a couple of hours on Sunday morning. We ended up with 20 koks. No Chinooks. We did catch two squawfish of approximately 3 lbs. First time I have seen that. Used microhooch, rollerbaits, and kokabows. Kokabows outperformed in pink and...

It's On We've been focusing an Anderson this year but took a couple friends who had never been kokanee fishing to Lucky Peak yesterday. Judging by what I saw caught I'd say there are many more readers than posters on this site. My friends just could not get the hang of it and lost at least 30...

Unpredictable Anderson We fished Anderson last Sunday 4/3. We fished all morning without effect and at 1:00 got on a pattern (pink and green, 25-30 feet) that produced 8 nice fat kokes and 1 chinook. Two of the kokes were 19" and the smallest was 16. I have a photo of the tape but can never get...

I use the cannon version and find them indispensable when my booms are extended. I also tie the end to the railing. I had a swivel mount break two years ago and the ball retriever is the only thing that saved the Mag 10 TS from residing at the bottom of the reservoir.

We were there. Limits have been tough for me to come by the last few weeks. Seems like we can get close but can't quite get there. We are losing a lot of fish/bites and seem to be below 50%. Some operator error, but she doesn't like to be told not to throw them a loop of line when they come of...

I see the IDFG stocked fall chinook in Anderson in 2013. How long will they live? Will they spawn up the river like the situation ion Cour de Alene?

Hi Sawtooth, I saw you guys working that corner. Glad to hear that you did well. We got off to a terribly late start again. We ended up one fish shy of two limits. I did turn back one of next years fish. We hooked a lot of fish but yesterday was one of those 50% landed days. We left about 2:30...
