To answer your question, I get the manufacturers brand for my 150hp Evinrude 2-stroke, high performance synthetic, at the local shop. But for my hunting mud motor lower unit, any high performance 80-90wt synthetic I get from Autozone has worked fine.

I hear you on the lake being really busy for skiers and party'ers and the like. I still find it one of the best lakes to fish even when it's windy and lots of boat activity. The fish don't seem to mind at all.thumbsup

thanks! I've fished once this year at McClure and already a problem. Lower unit seal busted. Not something I can do myself. Shop is backed up for two weeks so at least 3 weeks before I'm back out on the water, at least for Kokes or trout.101facepalm101
