Caught a beautiful pair of 19' Kokanee today. The males jaws were really hooked. Been skunked only once this season. Not always Kokanee but mostly. Surface water temp dropping. The steelhead bite will be on soon.

Ron, keep at it. I got 2 kokes, a really nice steelhead and a walleye. The young man fishing with me wanted to release the fish which was good. I did manage to talk him in to letting me keep the walleye. More beautiful male salmon this year then I have seen before. I hope that is good.

The salmon are still biting but has slowed down. Should pick back up on the new moon.

Needin a walleye. Best week on Nantahala ever. Lots of big kokes. I think they grew in a week. Scattered all over the lake. I think this is the big spawning year.
