    Stampede launch ramp

You can still launch, but you better have all wheel drive because you will be in mud. My go to lures are hoochies tipped with Firecorn. Just north of the island.

    Fishing lake tahoe

I'm hearing the bite is decent. I got skunked 2 weeks ago on lake trout, but most likely due to a late start. Check ramp availability as they closed Sand Harbor this week. Water is low and hazards may be encountered. I wish I had more, but I'm currently awaiting a re-power. Best of luck!

    question on Stampede Res.

Yeah, I get the working part. Luckily I'm done with that. I was out today and off the water at 7:00AM with my limit. Both days I was getting bit on Sep's pink hoochies tipped with Anis Plus corn. Did best off the point at 30 to 40 feet. Everyone seemed to be catching. Size is 11-12 inch.

Off the water today with limit by 9:00am. Water temp at 64 degrees. Everyone around me was getting bit, but size is small.

    Stampede

I often have a seat open for Stampede, usually fish weekdays and not to early until it heats up. Try to get on the water by 7am. 13 foot whaler.

    question on Stampede Res.

I was there on Friday 5/31, started late, water 57 degrees, wind started blowing about 11, 1 small koke, 1 RB, and a bass? Was off the water by 12:30. This was my fourth trip to Pede this year, they haven't started to heat up for me, what I have caught were small 10-11 inch.

    Stampede update

Was there this morning. First line in at 6AM. Water temp 66 degrees, water was pretty flat, and was like glass by 7. Hooked 2 and released both. I'm snake bit this year, as I am unable to boat any size?!? Pink hoochie has worked most consistently. I've tried Apexs, FWG's of various colors and...

    Stampede April 2012

The one that flipped the hook and the one I released were approx 8" to 9" The one I kept was 13". Overall I think they were on the smaller size. Myself and others marked very few fish. I'm going back and try again in a week.

    2012 Boat Upgrades Input Sought

Thanks for the feedback and advice. I have been stacking two lines on my Cannon Downrigger but I'm still learning the process to keep from fouling lines. Right now I agree that getting both lures down would be more important than enhanced FF. Not having to crank a manual has appeal also.

    2012 Boat Upgrades Input Sought

Thanks I fish Stampede, and Boca, very seldom Tahoe. Never gone deeper than 60'. Am I correct in interpreting your post that I would more likely increase my "catch" with upgraded fishfinder?

    Stampede

Fished 6:00am till 11:00am today July 30 and we got skunked. 4 rods in the water tried dodgers , hoochies , fwg watermelon , hot pink, dawna's dream NOTHING! Marked a lot at 30 to 50 feet, talked to at least 7 boats and heard about one 11inch. WTF! Solunar calendar was predicting a great day. It...

    Lake Tahoe fishing

Yes it's expensive and inconvenient. After living here for 35 yrs I have given up fishing on the lake. The mackinaw catch continues to be OK but boring! My neighbor fishes for macks every week of the year, and he limits in 2 hours most of the time. I have fished with him, but there's something...
