2018 Arrowrock Reservior Kokanee Fishing Report

Squawfish In 2011, there was a Bull trout census taken...they caught and killed like 10000 pounds of squawfish...its been way better in that dept. since then...the kokes they planted a few years ago were dumped in at the boat ramp...then soon after they had a high water flow event that flushed...

2018 Arrowrock Reservior Kokanee Fishing Report

sonar issues I tried several Humminbird units up there and had many issues...in Auto depth mode it would lose the bottom and say I was in less than 2 feet of water when it was really 80 plus....then I called Humminbird and their tech guys did some research for me... They claim that Arrowrock...

Deltadude...also..your speed at the time was a tad slow as well...idk if you were trolling at the time...but kokes prefer speeds of .9 to 1.8 mph...usually more on the faster side of that scale.

Those aren't fish bro...that's clutter and air bubbles being confused with fish...if you wanna see actual fish...turn off the fish id. Fish will show up as arches of various sizes...fish Id always exaggerates small bubbles and stuff and shows them as fish.

I don't think anyone finds real joy in seeing a piece wrecked up...but sometimes you gotta scratch your head in bewilderment... Last year we were heading in on Arrowrock from fishing as a squall came up outta nowhere...we got in and trailered just in time but there was one boat still out in...

Oh..lol...change colors and dodger sizes now and then til you find what works best...I typically run three rods of different stuff...one fish does not make a pattern...but if you get 4 out of five on one particular setup...switch em all to that one...good luck!

I don't mind throwing out info...I'm just being sarcastic...I haven't been up there in a couple weeks so I have little to offer...just this...head straight across from boat ramp...bear right towards the dam...fish the bay or mouth by the little cove in the back...if that doesn't work...try a few...

Well guys...it all might change drastically if they go through with their plans to build either a new dam, or raise the existing one 120 feet....the need more water so...imagine what Arrowrock would look and fish like if your boat was 120' above your head? New roads...new ramps...miles of new...

I honestly wish that LP was designated for all recreational boating and Arrowrock was limited to fishing only...greedy guy that I must sound like...I just get sick of getting bounced all around by wakeboarders looking for calm water to churn up and ruin...it gets old. I wish calmer more isolated...

That's crazy! I fished the dam apparently right before you and we didn't get a hit one...lol. Tried a few more hotspots in my repertoire but no love...finally went up South fork to escape the wind and found some. Only had a couple hours left but ended with six toads. I felt good about the haul...

So...Like I posted before...my buddy had a 16 foot Hewescraft Jet boat given to him...so we finally got all our ducks in a row and went up to troll for Kokes on AR...lemme just say it was aweful...the wind wasn't even bad but were were getting blown all around by the smallest of breezes...it has...

    Kokanee research

Hey guys...we have had an ongoing discussion about Macs in LP and obviously they were stocked for several years...I have never caught one there but I always wonder what the fish are marking at 180 feet...and not just fish but BIG fish.....they are the only species reportedly in there I would...

Well spoken my friend...I like that phrase...LOL..."forced Oscillation" this is the most in depth study of washboard roads I've ever been involved in. while I have your attention though...allow me to veer of the topic and as everyone's opinion on what the item in the pic is...My aunt in NY is...

    2013 Arrowrock Fishing Thread

Hey Rafting...the reason the bad washboard is on the uphill runs...is because the heavy trucks and boats mostly go really slow because they don't want to throw rocks up on their boats and make a dust cloud...when they drag heavy loads uphill, it makes the drive wheels lose and gain traction back...

I have made Arrowrock my favorite fishing digs for the past three years...and really pay attention to the activity up there...I love your posts Rafting...thanks for sharing...not to disagree with you per say...but the truth is that trucks dragging boats slow up the hills is typically what causes...
