Stevens is very tough without riggers and a boat. Mainly as the bank area is too shallow and there is little way to get your gear out far enough to be effective. The way mentioned above does work. Just hard on this lake.

I am a Local on Stevens. Got there at 4am and riggers in by first light. Fished the East bank side. HOTTTTT for an hour. Multiples and so much action that we were like kids in a candy store. Went 7 for 11 in first hour. THEN DEAD! Someone turned off light switch. I have seen this...
