Question about gear for Baker Lake sockeye?

Thanks Curt for all the great info! That will help me out quite a bit. I think my Kufa's will be way to small. Especially pulling size 0 or 00 dodgers. I will be buying 2 Ugly Stick Light's 8'6'' rods that are medium action 8-12lbs. I plan on putting my Abu Garcia BCX 5600's on them spooled...

Hey Mike I'm not sure if you have been getting my replies so I'm sending you a PM. Yes that listing on Craigslist is mine. I'm just going to have to many rods since I did pick a new Kufa rod at the shack. Lamiglas is replacing the top half of my rod and it is going to cost me $40 total for...

    2012 Lucky Peak Fishing Thread

Windy day but awesome fishing!! Went out today with my 2 good fishing buddies. We launched at Spring Shores at 10:30 and started to troll one of my favorite spots. The wind kicked in about 15 minutes in and it was miserable. I would say it was blowing about 15-20 mph. I decided to head...

    Finally upgraded my boat!!

So after 2 years fishing out of my 15' 1992 Smokercraft Alaskan, I decide that it was time to get a new boat. I did alot of shopping on line for 3 months and finally found a great deal on a 2005 Jetcraft 1625 LTD. It came with a 2010 4 stroke Mercury 60 horse EFI and a 50 lb thrust Minkota bow...

    Lucky Peak

Hey Mike I was wondering where abouts you were fishing? By the dam or Spring Shores? I'm torn on where to go this coming Tuesday. It's between Anderson or Lucky Peak. I had a great day this Tuesday at Anderson getting my limit. All the fish were 12'' to 13'' and nice and silver. I would...

    Any Kokes in....

Hey Busspass I've fished Horsethief a few times and it's a great trout fishery espcially big browns. It's a pretty shallow lake and there are no koks there. Go up the road more and fish Warm Lake. I hear there are koks in that lake and nice sized lake trout. Lots of rainbows and brookies also.
