With the colder winter, I am sure the water is still pretty cold. Does anyone have an idea when the kokanee fishing will pick up enough to make it worth while to go after them? I am sure that one could pick up a few rainbow anyway though, so it wouldn't be a loss. Thanks

Does anyone have a kokanee or trout smoking recipe without so much brown sugar in it? Too sweet for me, so I am going to try a batch with every thing but the brown sugar and see how it turns out. I think the rum may be a good thing though. Hobie

New to this Kokanee fishing but I, a friend and a grandson camped a couple of days and managed to pick up a few (8) Wed and Thurs. Morning before the wind came up. and blowed pretty hard. Wed. and Thurs, were beautiful, mirror smooth conditions. Fished about 40 feet with dodgers and macks...

Thanks guys, you have made up my mind on the townsend skinner. I have been looking at them on ebay but didn't know for sure if they would work on trout and kokanee, or just on pan fish and bass with the thicker skin. You have put my doubts at rest!! Dennis
