    I have seen the Bert,s track mounts on line and they look good. What I am worried about is the stress the downriggers will put on the gunnels. Do you think the gunnels will need any additional bracing? Will backing inside the gunnels be enough? I guess i just don't know how much the downrigger...

    I just bought 2 cannon electric downriggers. I am going to mount them on a crestliner. The gunnels only have about 4 in of usable space. i am looking see if anyone has any ideas, or history with crestline and cannon. thanks

    Trolling plates

    I know I will need to drill holes to have the boat I want, I just want to get it right the first time. Is there any way to figure how much speed will be lost with a trolling plate?

    What are the pros and cons of using a trolling plate? I am new to kokanee trolling and would rather spent my time and money on tackle, not a kicker motor. I am setting up 1650 Crestliner with a 75 hp Honda. My current slow speed is 2.2 mph checker with a GPS.
