We fished Monday from 7:30-12:30, all long-lining shallow (not deeper than 20'), kept 3 bows, 3 kokes, the kokes were all 16+". Caught two more bows but put them back in as they were tiny. Lost four on the fight to the boat.

Update on LP. Fished from 7:30-12:30 on Sat AM, put 10 kokes in the cooler, lots of fish in the main pool off of Spring Shores Marina, we lost 4 or would have been off the water sooner. Fished between 15'-30'.

Went up Saturday, got a late start, fished 10-3 with an hour lunch stop (for the pups mainly). We marked fish at the mouth of Lime, used 8 different set ups, got one hit, no fish to boat. Watched other boats switch over to bass, it appeared the koke bite was off.

So next weekend the wife and I are going to head up for a couple days, plan on camping on the beach, we'll bring plenty of sharing beer in exchange for tips. Should I plan on 2 hours from South East Boise to Curlew? We'll be in the camo'd jet sled camping out of a white ford van, with a few pups.

Hit LP yesterday afternoon, from 2-6, the bite was slow! Two hookups, none boated, and we threw the book at em, ouch. My HDS7 took a crap on me and kept freezing so no idea if we were on them or not. The conditions, for the end of March, were awesome.

We were on 5.5 Mon around the same time, trolled the marina/confluence area for about an hour, only marked a hand full all between 15-30. Didn't get a nibble, we were short on time so we didn't toss that many colors at them, only orange and red.

Heading up for the 4th, we'll be in the white Custom Weld with the blue and orange top, swing by and say hello. We'll trade beverages for advice any day. Camping question for you, are the islands off limits? If the campgrounds (we reserved) are crazy can I jump on the boat and camp tied off...

That certainly explains the problem. Sure seemed like the lines were extanding out back at a flat angle. Thanks! Do some people run weights with leaded line to help get them down?
