1st iced Koke of 2010

Hi All!

Well, finally got back from doing an unexpected quick trip to the Persian Gulf delivering supplies to our troops in that area. Was glad to relive a fellow captain so he could be with his family for the Holidays.

Went out yesterday 1/09/10 and got into some Kokes.
Jigging with my 28" UL rod.
Fishing in 30 ft. of water but Kokes only 10 ft. down under the ice with maggots (Spikes).
Tried my New "Tarantula Jig" by Bentley. (Fabulous Jig with lots of action!)
At first I wasn't getting anything, THEN I hung it under a very small Hot Pink Swedish Pimple on a 2" dropper chain.
THAT DID IT!! thumbsup
CAUGHT MY LEGAL 8 within an hour!!
All were between 12 and 14 inches!
GREAT DAY! and Great Meal! that evening with the wife!!!
Going to smoke up the rest tommorrow in my "Special Rum Brine!!!"

Going out again (Same Spot) next few days and hope to get into them again!

Hi SB!

Not sure how much the "Tarantula" weights.
It is made with tungsten and has 3 -> #12 hooks.
The action this jig has is MORE THAN AMAZING!!! tooexcited

A bit expensive, BUT I can say with certainty it was worth the money! thumbsup
They were not going to bring this into the US market till 2011 but their pro team insisted and I'm glad they did!

Think this is going to be a KILLER JIG night fishing in the summer for Kokes!
