Hey Echo reservoir is having their annual trout derby up there on free fishing day which is June 5th.
Hourly prizes paid out for biggest fish of the hour
Door prizes
Top 3 longest fish get big bucks and a trophy
10$ to enter
fishing is 6:30am to 5:30pm and you can register the day before or the day of.
The fishing is typically good to excellent up there this time of year and 22-25" plus browns are usually the money makers, with alot of quality rainbows to fill in the hourly.

Who or where do you contact for info? and is the lake overloaded with boats for the event?

you can go to Echo dam resort.com and get contact information.
Yes the lake does get slightly crowded but it is not that bad.
It is a pretty fun event with lots of fish caught (typically) with a chance to win a couple hundred bucks. I have a flyer i will scan and put on here in the morning.
