Help Support Kokanee Fishing Forums:

Caught 1 yesterday roughly 14", shook one off the hook right at the boat, was a yearling didn't want to touch him, hopefully he can make it didn't seem like he was hooked that bad since he came right off.

Anyways, I'll be there tomorrow, stop and say hi if you see me, I'll be with chris from kokaneetackle.

By the way fish4kok, I always enjoy your pictures, keep it up they look great.

Well, sold the 80lb Terrova today, and bought the Ulterra 112 I pilot link. Guess I will be working the next few days getting it set up and installed, then hit lucky peak for a test run. Might as well troll while I'm testing.

You will enjoy it once you get it setup properly :) one thing I learned... Never too many batteries.

I have a powerdrive v2 55 ipilot
I have 2 batteries hooked up in parallel

Thanks DeltaDude and good luck for fishing tomorrow. I met Chris in Kokaneetackle shop mid January, he is nice guy. I bought few Kokanee Fly and will trying out later.

The terrova 80 with 24v let me troll for about 5hrs with my Bluewater Escape. I'm hoping this one at 36v will give me at least a full 8 and maybe 10.

I believe I was there. I was mostly in the back room helping clean up.

You got the k fly trolling flies lures if I remember correctly.

It was rather busy that day I believe there were 4 other people in there at the time.

Really depends on your boat size. I notice amp draw is like 15 when I am half speed. Or if I go full it is 45.

I thought the listed amp draw was overall but minnkota said it is per 12v connection. So if the max draw is 50 it would drain 50 per battery. I was going to buy a 24v under the impression that it would last longer with more thrust and 2 batteries but support told me otherwise.

Yeah! There were about 4 people in the shop. That was the first time I was there, look through Kok fishing stuffs and spent about thirty bucks. I thought I saw a young fella in the back room but didn't know that were you.
We'll meet sometime this year eh?
Good luck for fishing today.

Yeah, I was the youngest one there, I am 24. ;)

Who says fishing is an old mans sport? :)

we went up fri afternoon and fished from 130 to 600. boated 9 trout, lost 3, and let 3 go. No koks at all. Not even the lost ones felt like a kok. We were marking big schools at 50-60 feet, but nothing. I tried all depths, and every color I got. Must be too early in the year. But last year I started 3 weeks earlier. The weather was the same and the water temp was the same. 39-41. But we were doing pretty good last year......I did get this though. this is the third tag I have got from arrowrock in 3 years. my 8th fish tag ever.

Two years ago I caught 2 tagged rainbow at LP. The fish size about 12", I wrote down the tag number and released the fish. Afterward I went to Idaho Fishing & Game website and filled out the report. Later I received their letter with the info. of the fish such as when, where, what size that fish was plan and the size when I caught. Some of the tag may have a reward printed on it. For more info follow links below:

A fellow kayak angler and I will be hitting Lucky Peak this Wednesday, March 2nd. Plan to troll from our kayaks :) We will provide a report after our day :) I have never fished for Kokanee, so this will be an adventure I am looking forward to. We just moved from AZ this past August, so it is all new to me. Tight lines All!!!

I did not make it out on the 2nd or 3rd - I decided to help setup our Alpenglow Mountainsport booth for the Outdoorsman Show on Wednesday. I think I over did the work, so early Thursday morning, I had chest pain and had to go to ER. Turned out to be ok, but with family history of heart issues, better safe than sorry. So I did not go on Thursday either :-( Hopefully next week!

Just got back from Anderson. The lake is still capped from about 1 mile toward the damn from lime creek, all the way to the inlet. The good news is, if the snow bank at curlew really was 12' its only 5' high now. It was beautiful, warm, and sunny there, I can't wait for it to melt.
