Thanks for the report! glad to hear you found some.
Did you go early? last time i tried to launch at Spring Shores they had it coned off so you could not launch until after 7:00. I like to start at dawn and leave early before the motion of the ocean starts. Thanks

7/5/20 report

very few boats on the lake in the morning. Put in at 7:30AM. 3 kokes & 1 bow. purple wedding rings 20' & 40' deep. Seemed to like it a little faster today. Varied speed between 1.5 - 2.2 mph. Boat traffic picked up at around 11AM and called it quits.

7~9 report

Late start to the morning, fished 10 to 1:30 had 5 hits landed 2. Caught 1 kok right off the bat but did not know it as he did not pop the line out of the down-rigger and did not fight, pulled him along for about 20 min.. trolling speed was .9 to 1.4 most hits came at slower speed. All hit came on pink and copper dodger and white pink hooche.

Report 07/10/20

Began fishing spring shores area 6:45 and down the channel towards goose neck bay, DR at 30' pulling a 4" watermelon colored dodger pulling a watermelon/ multi colored hoochie with a 12" leader between the two, fished until the wave makers forced me off the lake at 1:00, 4 bites, 2 fish, both were 12 or 13" thankfully the 12" was able to free himself from the hooks left to his own fighting along side the boat, how ever the 13" was hooked bad and bleeding so I kept him, I usually will not keep Koks unless they are 14 to 15", I ate him for dinner, did not see alot on the finder and no schools

Report 7/12/20

on the water at 7:15AM out of Spring Shores. Caught 2 kokes within first 15 mins (11" & 14"). Had a few short strikes, lost a couple, caught 2 bows, and landed a dandy that was just a little short of 20". Skiers chased us off at 10:30AM. All the kokes hit at 40' deep. Orange was the ticket with Christenson dodger. Trolling 1.5 mph.

Slow and Rough Fishing Report

I fished Friday the 7th, launched spring Shores 6:30 am, , fished straight across from the ramp, no bites very few fish on finder, went to Charcoal creek, no bites very few on the screen, tried the dam area, no bites, went back to spring shores area about 11:0 am and caught 2 slim rockets, ( bows ) released, continued fishing until 2 pm caught one kok about 12" released before he got into the boat and starting about 10:30 the lake got rough from wake boarders, it was like fishing in a agitator washing machine, all fishing was done DR at 55' using kokabow dodgers of various colors and squids of various colors and changing leader lengths between the dodger and squid, talked to 3 other boats, one boat got one, the other two boats had none, Slow and Rough.

Thanks for the info..With a decent bite midsummer, I assumed it would just get better when they began to stage. Go figure!! Again, thanks for the info. Mike

Lucky Peak

I think that I have wasted enough hours this year chasing the koks at Lucky Peak. Let the a-hole wake boats have the lake. Went to Peddit Lake last of June. F&G have not planted any Koks for 52 years. They say that the lake has brook, cutthroat, bass, rainbow, and Bull. In my option the only fish are Bull trout. Got snowed on the first two days. Scouted third day, all fish were below 60 ft. Fish the forth day without a strike. I was the only boat on the lake. Two to four paddle boarders at the shallow outlet end. Most were hikers. A beautiful little campground, only nine campsites. A very good trip, but likely not go back.

Owner

Fished 4 hours this morning at Lucky Peak, caught one about 10 inches and lost another at boat, pink and silver dodger at 35 feet. Left when wake boaters woke up, for once did not get blown off.

8/15-/16 report

fished 4 hrs in the morning each day. caught 1 dink. Marked noticeably less fish than in July. saw a few across from Spring Shores, Birch creek, Gooseneck. nothing at the dam, saw the most fish at charcoal. fish were 40-60' deep in 80-100' of water on the north bank. I think i'm throwing in the towel for Kokes on LP this season. Had a pretty decent year I think with all things considered. See ya next year.
