Went to the Elk Creek Ramp today because the weather is too nice not to ty and fish, all ice is gone on both ends, but the elk creek ramp entrance is blocked off from them plowing the snow. The ramp is good and dock is in still, but until the entrance is cleared out, you can’t get in. Bummer, but the water level is up to the spillway, if anyone has any updates please post!

Anderson condition

Howdy boys, I'm chomping at the bit to get out on the water and rip some lips.. any word on the boat ramps yet? I was going to drive up this weekend and check out curlew if no one has any info..

Curlew

No ice on the water around Curlew when I drove by. Looks like an inch or two of snow on the ground to deal with if you want to launch, which someone had. Hope they got into them!

Was wondering if you went up there and checked the elk creek ramp

Elk Creep Ramp 16 Feb

Went up to Elk Creek Ramp today. There is still a berm of plowed snow, but someone had driven through it, and driven a circle by the outhouse. The berm looks like about 10-12" of soft snow, it looked like it could be shoveled out of the way to allow access if someone is really ambitious. The snow on the parking area looked to be about 3-4", I DID NOT get out of look more closely at the depth. The ramp is covered in snow, but didn't look very thick..........no tracks, foot or tire, on the ramp.

That's the best I can offer for now..........

Elk Creek Ramp 03 March

The ramp is clear and there are 5 sections of dock in the water. Now parking, launching should not pose a problem. The parking area looks to have about 8-12 inches of snow still. Easy to pull in by the outhouse, but the snow is much deeper against the rocks where you park.

It was 26 degrees up there at about 3 pm yesterday

Snow conditions

Sage68, I appreciate your info. I'm from the Twin Falls area so it's a pretty good drive up there just to look at snow... just wanted to say thanks for your info..

Elk Creek Ramp

Thunder Jet Junkie-

Glad it helps. I live in Mountain Home so driving up there is not a big deal for me. When you go, hope you get into 'em!

Anderson conditions

I stopped by this morning on my way to Boise and checked elk creek launch.. still lots of snow. 6 inches on the ramp.. water level looks great. No boats on the water..

Thank you very much for taking the time to look and posting what you found, it is greatly appreciated. I cant get away for another couple weeks, so I'm hoping for the best. Thank you very much

Elk Creek Ramp

Went up yesterday afternoon, as was said by Thunderjet Junkie, the ramp has snow on it. The road was plowed so there's a "pretty good" amount of snow in front of the entrance again. Not sure if it's raining there today, hope it is. Did not check the depth of snow on the ramp. The road on the way down, on the bigger corners is soft and a bit slippery, advise all to take it easy on the road once the ramp frees up, at least as long as its wet-

Ramp conditions

Hey guys, I think I'm heading back up to Boise this Saturday but I'm going to go look at Curlew instead. That ramp isn't as aggressive as elk creek. Hopefully by Sunday we can get on the water...

elk creek ramp 17 MAR

Went up to check on the ramp, the ramp and dock are totally accessible. There is some snow in the parking area, but not enough to prevent parking. There were 3 boat trailers parked there when i got there about 2:15 this afternoon. Went towards Fall Creek and COULD NOT see any boats fishing..........guessing they were between the narrows and Lime Creek?

Curlew Ramp

Went up yesterday and got some fishing in. Curlew is open. A few boats out. Caught some really nice fish. Lost a bunch.. go get um boys..

I caught some today, all right at 13”. One had eggs. When you say nice fish, were they much bigger? I was expecting some bigger considering how many I got. Those at Arrowrock were a fair bit bigger last week.

Bkondeff

I caught a few that were in that 15 to 17 inch range. 1 right at 18" and some of the smaller ones. My history at Andersons over the last few years has been quality over quantity. If I come home with 5 - 10 fish that are all at that 16 to 18 inch range is pretty typical for me.

Anyone know if Curlew is still accessible? Thought that the recent weather pattern may have stacked a bit of snow up at the camp ground.....and maybe on the road coming in from HWY 20 / Louise Creek RD. Anyone been out there since the last few days?
