Well we got back up there as you can see in Lancealot's post below.

Sunday was a pretty nice day-a little cold in the morning. We started up by the Anvil area and was able to to pick up on some pup macs-we kept a nice one to cook but Kokes were scattered still in that area.

We went back down around the pipeline area and got back on them again. We were using pink RMT squids like Ryno had already mentioned in his post and Christensen Slamming Samon squids in red, yellow, and orange-(this color will be a big hit for kokers sooner or later up there). We picked off a rainbow with a RMT rainbow assassin along with the other pup macs-see below, it was a pretty nice fish. We caught a lot of kokes and let the smaller ones go. Water temps were anywhere from 42 to 47 degrees-we were running 2 riggers at 29-31 feet and ran the one out the back a little higher or lower depending on what was showing on sonar.

There were some gentlemen and their kids in Manila that did some sreious fishing on the rainbows up there. They had quite a few and I dare say they were all about 3lbs and up-they had the electric knife flying though those babies! I think we pulled out around 1:30-2. Excellent fishing but I don't think we broke the 3lb mark yet this year.

All in all a very nice weekend and got to visit family on Saturday night. The drive over the top to Vernal is a gorgous one!

Oh yeah, we were pulling up one koke and thought we had snagged it somehow. After boating we could see where it looked like a Mac had hit it on the way up....

Hey glad to see your getting out there and using some tackle. I went up there a week ago and the Wild Fire squid was the big producer with some pink catching a couple and the Orange Creme squid catching a couple. Thanks for the report.
