Well with the expected sun and warmer weather, it was set that we were going to make it to American. We got up this morning to strong wind and cloudy (go figure).
We got on the water around 9:30 and starting trolling. There was absolutely nothing going on except dealing with the wind. Around 11 my wife brought my daughter to me after ballet was finished. We got back fishing and I got a call that they had just put there gear in and caught a fish. It was a nice looking trout. The sun broke out and I lowered my gear down to 15' and within 10 seconds the pole went off. It was a nice 14" kokanee.
There was nothing after that and no one else was catching anything either who I was talking to. My dad had to get back to Seattle and so we called it a day. I can't think of a better way of spending the day than with my dad nad kids. I am looking forward to when the water warms a little more and from the size of this fish, it could be a fun year.
It was good seeing everyone on the lake!
