Been burning alot of holes in American this spring trolling around for kokanee. Sunday was no different, other than I got a late start, had coffee and doughnuts with the wife! Finally at the lake 8:15am-8:30am, got under way and headed to where I left my last GPS track on Thursday. What would we do w/o these GPS/FF anyway?!? On my run out on the lake I see a familiar boat off in the distance, sure enough it's "Stradic" from here on the board and he sends me a text "Your late, what you do sleep in?" I laughed, I finally got things sorted out, and started to do what I do.....been following these little buggers around all spring. I'm sure Stradic and a nice fellow I met last week named Barry as he goes by Salmonbarry over on WaLks.com can attest they have been putting in the time also if not more than me, and noticed they've been all over the lake and haven't really got into a pattern just yet. But Sunday was starting to take shape, sort of, I hope!!! I'd also like to mention there's an awful lot of nice rainbows in American right now, and if you haven't been out there sorting out your gear for this season, do so, as the bows can give you the pre-season training needed. Especially, when doubles are pretty common!!! Did I catch any bows? You bet! Did I catch any kokes??? Let's just say I got lucky, with this 19"r for my time on the water this spring!!!
