We hit American this morning. We got to the lake @ 5am and was fishing by 5:20. This fish came right before 6am. 17"
This is a picture of my Son (who reeled in the fish). He was so excited the rest of the day he was telling everyone that he caught the biggest fish. I am having so much fun with the boys this year!
Here is the days catch for today 9.5 - 17".. Details below..
We were on the hunt for the bigger Kokanee of American. We were only going to keep the ones 16 and above. We ended up keeping more of the smaller ones because of the way they were hooked. The boys (and dad) had a blast today. We probably had 20 fish upto the boat.
It was nice to meet Koke Head out there today. It was also good talking to Winterun as well. I hope to make it out there again sometime soon.
I lost one complete setup as the snap swivel I was using to connect the dodger to the main line busted in half.
Best set up of the day:
5.5 Watermelon dodger with Pearlescent squid - pink gulp maggots.
