American Lake May 5 2012

Wow, I don't know about anyone else but for me I have to say fishing was tough! The crappy weather this past week has definately had an impact of fishing for sure. I fished hard all day from 0530-1330. I managed to get just 3 bites and catch 3 kokes. 2 14 inches and one 16. One fish came on a pink hoochie and the other two came on spoons. Depths varied from 22-33 feet today. I had to work hard for these fish today let me tell you! We will need some warm weather again to turn the fish back on. Did anyone else have any success with Kokes today?

fished merwin today got our limits 5 each.. downrigger did good at 15t ft.. 1 oz and 20 to 25 pull did ok.. had to work for them..had to move around alot to find them .. nice fish though 13 to 16 inches put back a few smaller ones..

yep i landed 17 fish on samish today and lost 10 or so more fish.

Obviously its the body of water then eh. Most people at American lake I talked to today did not get any Kokes. Merwin is down by Olympia or where? I fish American because it is close but am always looking to try new bodies of water.

Merwin is down by Vancouver. It is a 2.0- 2.5 hour drive from Tacoma.

We got nata today!!! Horrible fishing. Drove to lake stevens up north then went to clear lake. Super moon has to be it. Two lakes no kokes.
