I got a late start but finally got there. My wife and son decided to go on this trip which turned out to be fun for all. (hence the late start)
We boated 20 nice fish and lost a bunch too. Lot’s of folks catching fish. The hot setup for us was a Red snubber in front of a medium size Dodger trailing a red hoochie. Second Place, was A UV Pink Sling Blade with a Pink Hoochie and then the , “Willow Flash” –Ultra Lite trailing a GVF Green spinner. This outfit produced in the morning and again early afternoon. The fish were suspended at several different depths. Leaded line on the dodger was lethal at 5colors. D/R action was from 35 -50. 50 as it got later in the day.
Team “SLAYER” Joe and Mike from the Shack also made an appearance and started catching fish right away…Nice Boat Joe…..
The spawners won’t last long as they are turning pretty quick. Lot’s of Crimsons but quite a few bright ones in the bunch. 1 female for every 3males. Good fishing to all, John
