Hey,

I only fish for Kokanee a couple times a year and wanted to get into it a little more this year. I was looking for some more info. on the net and came across this site. I'm looking forward to learning some great stuff from you guys. If you live in the Tacoma Washington area and want to do some fishing let know.

I could use a little help with the jigging thing. This is something I've never done for Kokanee. I would like to know what rods and lures you guys are using.

Welcome DCR! I just got into jigging last year... usually troll with downriggers. As far as rods go, I think a bit stiffer but sensitive tip is best. I'm changing to thin braid with fluorocarbon leader to help detect bites better and more solid hook sets. There's alot of lures out there that will work. The Gibbs Minnow, Kastmasters, Crippled Herring, Swedish Pimple, Krocodile, Buzz Bombs, Zzingers, Lazer minnows, and home made one's out of crescent weight's.
