Any experienced salmon fishermen???

I have an idea to try in my area and i was wondering if anyone with experience trolling or back trolling like they do in alaska could comment? We have a man made reservoir here that is loaded with kokanee. They use this to irrigate though so alot of salmon get sucked down into the canals. When spawn hits they run back up the canal to the base of the outlet. they just stalk pile up in here. I know this because Sept 1 is opening day of snagging season and tons of people go down and snag them out of there. I am not much of a crowd guy so i had a thought. A couple weeks before then go down and sort of "backtroll" a lure. There is quiet a current there so it would be no problem keeping the lure in front of fish for a good period of time. Think this will work????

i do, i try and get to flaming gorge as much as i can, i troll for them using downriggers

cool...we used to have a ton of salmon in the lakes here...but one year they just disappeared...have any tips on what lures to use?

dpends on how your fishing for them, trolling, jigging, or casting for them

try a rmt serpant spoon or a shasta cripplure

I Have Used Them They Work But I Found No Better Then Without.
