Did anyone fish berryessa this weekend? Going out tomorrow to give it another shot. I was wondering how deep the fish are and what are they biting on?
Any news on berryessa?

I was on Berryessa yesterday with my friend Kreig.
It was a tough windy day. We tried to fish the main lake area, and landed 2 Koke's, and lost another, before we were blown back into the canyon's.
We kept fishing for one more Koke near the dam.
We talked to several other boaters, some of them caught fish, but nobody had a lot of fish. It didn't matter if they were fishing for King's or Koke's, same hard day of fishing.
Our best results (caught so few it's hard to justify that) was with a homemade spinner blade, green beads, with a wedding ring, behind a green skeleton dodger.
Fish were around the 40' mark
I fished New Melones Wed. and Thur. last week with non stop action. But the 2 big fish at Berry were heavier than my 5 fish limit at Melones! (I might be exaggerating)

We caught 9 koke's up to 18" and 1 trout. We were fishing from the ranch house to the big island about 50' deep. Pink double glow hoochies behind a sling blade dodger seemed to work the best.

You where there the same day as me. I fished with JusTrolling out of his Lund w/ the Kokaneemart graphic on the side and we had an "EPIC" day. We've not put a limit stick together like Mondays since the early days of Indian Valley and Camanche a few years ago. Nothing under 18 inches and our biggest was just over 19" on the tape, 2.8 lbs. We where also on the main lake, 45 ft. OTW was the best depth, w/ short setbacks, 10-20 ft. RMT & FWG dodgers, UL Tropical Tiger, kokanee feast on the corn. It was spinner bite for us, We only got 1 koke on a hootchie (purple UV) and had well over 30 hookups. I'll get JT to post up the "koke porn" pics. Gonna try for Thurs. with a neighbor who saw our kokes and thought we went out in the ocean!!!

Chad, I did not make it out Thurs. Forgot about a dentist appointment!! I'm trying to make time to get out this week coming and looks like there might be a little reprieve from the heat, even a small drop in the temp. would be nice. Will post up if I get out.
