Anyone draw a control hunt tag?

Well, after 15 years of nothing, I finally drew a control hunt tag for bull elk. I drew in my home state of Idaho unit 29. Pretty excited about the draw. My son also drew for unit 51 late season cow elk. Time to start scouting out the units. Anyone else draw a coveted tag?

Congrates on the 44 bull tags. That should be a good hunt. Tried to get bull tags for several years in 43, but was never successful. Did you get the early season or late? Either way you should have a great hunt, good luck and let us know how it goes.

didnt get the early tags. pretty excited. my buddy and his friends killed three nice bulls in there last year. i think we'll have access to a couple ranches that he's hunted before.

My elk season ended on my second day of hunting with this six point bull. It dropped one hundered and twelve yards from camp and three and a half miles from my truck. Overall, a very successful hunt with all three of my party getting two 5x5's and this 6x6.
