This was second year we had this gathering and a good success. There was talk about another gathering to put together in the spring. I like the idea and we can concentrate on it as time gets closer. 101ok101 Both times we cooked up brats 101eatdrink101 which I mentioned to all that this could be the gathering of the "BEAR LAKE BRATS". 101idea101 As far as fishing, conditions on the water were good but there was some lockjaw in the boats. There was 2 cutts(released) caught in my boat, agitator ended up with a 2 fish catch. I won't mention what happen in smoke poles boat. whistlersmother It was all good fun. This was great, I had fun and can't wait to do it again. Got to meet some terrific folks as well as meet up previous friends. thumbsup

Roger, thanks for 'not mentioning' the lack of activity on my boat 101no101. I always enjoy the fishing at BL, and it was again hard to beat the day and company, but that lake sure has my number as for as the catching goes 101nopity101

WOW what a good time we had .Sure nice to put a face with a name , can't wait to meet up with this group of live BS again . No lockjaw on the BRATS here. Looks like we will be there this coming weekend again .

Looking fwd to some more relaxation. tooexcited Your right Craig putting names to faces helps. There was alot BS going on and can't wait to get another good dose of it. laugh hyst The Idaho moderator, Dallas-"Gone Fishing" is retiring Dec 20. I informed him of the possibility of a spring gathering at Bear L and this would be a good send off to start his retirement in 2014. 101idea101 He likes the idea so far. The hook, line, & sinker is set, all we have to do is reel him in. 101ok101 We can set our sites on late April or into May when ice off of course.

Lets pray that Bear lake doesnt freeze over again this year. That lake gets pounded by the ice fisherman and the big fish really get hit hard. open water all year long works great for me

Not even a doubt Roger. If I'm breathing, Im fishing Bear Lake in the spring. I have given advance notice to my wife about the pending bear lake ( all mens) trip to start off my first year of retirement with a pole (fishing) in my hand. Cannot wait.101chromefish101worthy12signfishin

Are you sure you got a kitchen pass? Cinderella leave? Or hall pass? 101shock1101 Are you sure you can work this into your retirement plans? I want to see your permission slip. stomper Who's driving the boat? Who's cleaning the fish? So many unanswered questions. 101duh101 Agitator says his wife is not letting him go unless she goes fishing too. 101smily101 I know who the boss is there. 101faceslap101

Got an extra kitchen pass, so I will loan you one of mine Roger. My retirment is subjected to fishing, except a trip to the coast or Bahams one month out of the year. In the new boat, I can drive and fish. (planning ahead) Luckly my wife believes in guy trips and family trips. I think she likes the idea of getting rid of me off and on so I don't drive her nuts. She is already worrying about it. Seems like we were talking about this yesterday and it was almost 2 years ago. Looking forward to spring! Bring it on. Yahoooo.
