I just fished a new lake i dint know, a downrigger and color fish finder did the trick

Now that's a loaded question with a bazillion answers. The best setup is whatever the fish want that day. We all have our favorites and for me it ends up changing each year. You can cover the bases by having some Hoochies / Tubes / Spinners / Apex's and Bugs for trollers and that covers a variety of non stop lure purchasing events that will last you a lifetime... guaranteed!
You don't need seven tackle boxes to get started but over time it all builds up when you become a Koke-a-Holic. tongue2
