You can also try casting jigs towards rocky structure at night, much like you would for smallmouth bass. Just make sure the jigs are glow, tipped with bait like sucker meat, and work the bait back to the boat near the bottom. Vertical jigging also works well using glow jigs, jigging spoons, etc. Once again, work the bait close to the bottom near rocky structure. You'll probably do best for overall numbers near main channel points and further up reservoir where burbot abundance is highest. Surface temps are still in the upper 40s, so burbot can still be caught shallow.
