I went to my home kokanee lake, yesterday May 23rd, to try out the boat and see how well the patch job was. I may have patched the wrong area because it leaked just as much as before. I brought it home and put the plug in it put some water in and looked for drips underneath. Well now I know where it is leaking. So back to patching I go.
As for fishing, it was great. Catching was great too. I think I got there sometime around 8:30am and I was home by 10:30. There were only 4 other vehicles in the parking lot. I used my electric motor so it was so quiet. I used 2 rods, I have the endorsement. Starting out I used a 50/50 dodger and a new beaded lure 50/50 I have been trying. I got 2 fish at different depths with my other rod which had a Bahama Mama and Wannafish A Lure Bloody Mary. So I switched out the 50/50 rig to a Dee Diamond Flasher and another Bloody Mary. I finished with my limit of kokanee being caught between surface and 20 feet in 37-70 feet of water. The fish were between 9.5 and 10.5 inches and very trim. Unlike the foot balls at American. The lake was very calm without any wind or only a slight breeze. It was cloudy to start with but it turned out to be partly sunny. It was a nice day except for my leak!
