Corn Scents

I really have no favorite since I'm not going to be eating it!!nananana

But the kokes sometimes let me know so when I'm preparing for battle (done at least 2 days before) these are my go to scents:

Anise + dyed pink (I uses pure anise oil to enhance it)
Garlic/anise (I add crushed garlic to the mix)
Vanillia w/ and without pink dye & add corn syurp.
Later in the year when the kokes start to turn, GARLIC/CRAWFISH!!!
Kokanee Special/Carp Spit
Sardine (only for Stampede) Why?? I don't know but it works for some reason.
And always remember, PLAIN, PLAIN, PLAIN!!! I alway's have on hand some plain (no scent) ready. Put a little aside before I start mixing so I don't get anything on the plain corn. Don't leave home without it!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually make up a few batches...
kokanee special
garlic
vanilla
plain
All have anise added and sprinkle of wizard corn magic to toughen up the kernals and make them last longer. One of the batches is allways dyed pink.

What's the recipe for vanilla. I use old glass egg jars to keep my corn in, would a teaspoon or tablespoon be about right?

I just add till the corn in the container looks saturated a couple days before, stir up daily, then drain the excess off the morning of the fishing trip.

This is and excelt topic kOKANEE love/love oils and believe it or not some work better in different lakes. Anise and Crayfish/crawdad is a killer or just crawfish. one coming on strong is tuna good luck

I usually rely on the "off the shelf" scent mixes. the best the last couple of years has been pro cure kokanee special....dick nite (dna) koke blend has been good as well. gulp scents are now available in large spray bottles and i'm going to try some of that on corn this season. I haven't tried plain corn.....but I will this year for sure.
