i made up this downrigger from a down-easter rod holder. good for small boats.

good Idea, I may have to look into it other than if i put another thing on my tin boat it would sink or the sides would collapse.

thanks, i wanted to secure the plate alittle better. i have a spot face on the bottom of the plate with a 5/16 bolt going thru with a lock nut and acouple fender washers. i wanted to maybe epoxy the plate on also. can't weld it, the pot metal just melts. if you want to try, email me and i'll send some more pictures.
