East Canyon 8-11-12

Fished east canyon with WH2, trolled the dam area 15-40ft. trolled epic spinners and pink squids. caught 30 rainbows, recreation boaters where bad.

I'm not a taker on weekends at EC. You get pushed into a small area and someone has to still cruise in close. E Canyon had some early season quality fish this year. Waiting patiently for cooler weather to drive off the lice.

Some thing is better than nothing, I have spent the last week fishing for planters up in the Uintahs with the wife and kids. We realy had a good time. It kinda made me think we where in East Salt Lake.laugh hyst

It only brought to mind that the water cops saw me getting buzzed by a skier(within 15') and didn't do anything with them. Instead, they came over to make sure I had a fishing lic and checking all safety gear. It was on a weekend. I am now in a better position to fish during the week.
