East Lake 9-3-2011

Fished East Lake the last two days. Not much new to report. Fish were fairly small but still in good shape. The males are turning pink but sometimes you had to look close to notice. We were using purple and green Apex. Caught our limits in 2-3 hours. Fish were at about 40' mainly. But, they were scattered around at different depths.

Thanks for the report...sounds like East is doing pretty good right now. I was up at Paulina a few days ago and it's still slow. Hopefully things get back to normal in the next week or two.

Does anybody know why Paulina and East are so different right now? I'm new to fishing and find it odd that Paulina is DEAD right now but the fish are biting at East Lake just fine. The lakes are right next to each other and at the same altitude. We were catching a lot of fish at Paulina early in the summer and then they just stopped biting.
