East Lake Advice

I am heading to East Lake next weekend and was looking for any tips on the Kokanee fishing there. I fish Green Peter some so I know the basics. Any suggestions on location or lures? Also any tips on the Big Browns?

Thanks
David

I don't fish for browns much but I have caught a few up there. Silver and black and rainbow trout minnow imitation stick baits like Rapalas should work. Troll out from the resort and through the hot springs area. As far as the kokes use a long leader between the dodger and lure...around 5-6 feet is recommended up there for lures like the Apex (lures like hoochies and bugs will need to be close to the dodger to get the required action.) I've had good sucess out from the cliffs on the north end of the lake and down the middle. If you plan on doing any jigging the white slide area is your best bet. The pink&white and blue&silver Gibbs jigs are good ones to try out. Have fun!!signfishin
