Dick Nights have been my go to spoon but I bought a couple of different spoons that I really like the look of and they have been producing recently. The problem is I do not recall the name. I think they are SW but don't recall. My boat and tackle are sitting at the lake so I can't even look at the package. Is there a lure brand that is SW? I can't find any on the internet.

No idea about SW, maybe Seps?

I have been doing really well with Simon babies, Yakima Bait's 00 FST, and Poulsen Cascade's Half Fast Wild Weasel. Seps Pro-Secret Lure and Dick Nite's produces as well. Run one rod with a spoon and one rod with a hoochie and the spoons have been just as productive (knock on wood)

Looked at the package of a new spoon and they are Simon spoons. I guess I was getting the SW from Simon Wobblers. Yes they are the Baby Simon I have been using.
Anyway I seem to get a lot of "nibbles" but they don't take the lure hard enough to get hooked. They get the corn and I get the lure back... clean.

Have you tried upsizing the hook? I swapped hooks with Gamakatsu Siwash #4 and offset them. Holds those bad boys much better my friend.

I have had my best luck with litle cleos in silver or gold, 1/4 oz. Since switching to sickle hooks I believe that our landing ratio has improved, also using trokar siwashes , exp., but worth it. Def. offsetting hooks as well. Bob R

If you concider the apex lure a spoon they would have to be my favorite. As far as traditional spoons go i don't use them much but when i do i usually go with sockeye slammers, hum dingers, needlefish, kokanee kings or super duper's.
