Heading to Buckboard tomorrow afternoon to camp and fish through Monday morning. Will have wife, nephew, son and his family (2 grandkids) and daughter. Most will be looking to catch a few fish, so I'll expect to be busy shuttling them through as just can't fish all at once. Luckily, there will be sort of staggered arrivals and departures so all should work out well if I can find the fish 101chromefish101. We'll be camping in the forest service campground and on the water in a Sea Nymph GLS195. Stop and say hello if you run across us.

won't be back up until the 3rd of July. Have a wedding in California I have to go to. Leave a few for me and enjoy.

Today's Catch

We went out last night and this morning. We got a hold of a new dodger from Lakeshore Tackle and managed to talk Colton into coming out with us last night. The new dodgers really did the trick when paired with the pink hooker and orange squids. We limited out this morning and picked up a couple of nice fat rainbows along the way, and then before it got too choppy, we picked up a nice mack pup.

Nice fish usemdw! I live in Washington state; can you tell me what the new dodger was from Lakeshore Tackle? Also I am not familiar with a pink hooker.

Thanks, Alan

Here is Lakeshores site

I'm curious in which dodger/s pay out too. Nice line of tools. 101ok101

This is a new dodger that Colton does not have up on his website yet. They were a prototype that he is just starting to produce. They are not on the website yet. They are shorter than the small slingblade but wider and have some different bends in them. They worked really well. Probably 95% of what we caught were on these new dodgers.

See Bduck's post for the lakeshore tackle website where you can find the pink hooker squid. The dodger is not on the website yet.

The family had some really good koke fishing – many in the 3.5+ range over the weekend. I was trying to get the family their fish, so I only brought in one the entire weekend, a 5 lb laker pup that happened to hit as I released it from the downrigger intending tio change up of lures.

Anyway, the fishing/catching was really good, but the wind came up Sat from 1 – 9 PM, sustained at what must have been 40 - 50 mph. It busted poles on our tents and blew/blasted sand into everything. Had to laugh as the wheather station was simultaneously reporting breezy conditions. Sunday was beautiful, and our best day fishing. That is Wy for you. Came home Sunday afternoon, earlier than the original plan of Monday, as tents were blasted down and everyone was whipped from the wind the day before.

My nephew (6'3" and 205) with huge hands is holding one of the kokes, and helping my 8 yr grandson in the other pic. Don't weigh fish as I really don't care, but both were noticably bigger than one a guy weighed at 3.25 lbs at the cleaning station.
