Does anybody know what the fine is for exceeding the catch limit for Kokanee in Oregon. I've spent a couple hours searching with no luck. I'm just curious. I talked to one person who thought they could seize your boat but that seems a little stiff for miscounting and catching one too many 12" fish.

If anybody knows the statute that would really help. I couldn't find anything on the ODFW site (or anywhere else for that matter).

Second the clicker. Game violations are harsh and whether or not it's a stocker trout (or kokanee for that matter) it's still a violation. I've heard as much as $100 per kokanee above the limit in Washington.

Yeah, I have no intention of exceeding the limit. I just didn't want them to take my boat if I miscount as I get older...

What I find interesting is I can't locate the actual fine amount. I also think it's interesting that nobody is posting here or elsewhere that they were fined. I'll have to spend a few hours searching the statutes I guess.

A few years back a guy fishing off the bridge at GP had one fish over his limit and it cost him $60 (OUCH)

If it was me I would have argued that you are allowed 25 kok's at Green Peter & Five trout... I would have just had the Officer put the one extra kokanee in my 5 fish bag limit and then proceeded to pick up another four kok's.

Green Peter Reservoir (Linn Co.) • 25 kokanee per day (no size limits) may be taken in addition to other trout species catch
limits.
• Salmon may be retained as part of the kokanee bag limit.

Lakes: 5 per day,
2 daily limits in
possession.
Streams: catch
and release only,
except as noted
under Special
Regulations.
• Angling restricted to artificial flies and lures in streams. See exceptions
under Special Regulations where use of bait is allowed.
• 8-inch minimum length.
• Only 1 trout over 20 inches in length may be taken per day.
• Rainbow trout over 20 inches are considered steelhead in streams.
• Closed to angling for bull trout.
Kokanee included in trout limits except as noted under Special
Regulations.

Not sure if it would work & I haven't tried it, but I was thinking about calling ODFW and asking about it. I've had a few times I wish I could have gotten another five kok's.....
