first boat trip

First post, Don't hurt me tooexcited
I am planning to take the boat out tomorrow morning and try and get some fish on the gorge. Any advice?
I was thinking of going to the upper marsh creek area. It's the first time this season that I am taking my boat out so I don't want to travel to far on it just incase.

Good Luck on your first outing. Can't think of a better place to head, heck that's almost in your backyard.

Just make sure all your safety gear is in good working order especially the fire extinguisher. Your WY Fish Cops have to remind me every year.

Yes be sure you have all of your saftey equipment and all your licenses in order. I was boarded about 4 weeks ago-(they asked if they could-no problem) and checked everything out. Today I came into the marina not realizing I was leaving a small wake. I had another visit from WFG and he checked the equipment again. These guys are just doing their job and have been very pleasant to deal with.
