First trip to FG Aug 3 - staying UT side. Need a bit of direction

Would you fish out of Lucerne Valley, Sheep Creek or Dutch John area?? Targeting Kokes but a laker or two would be nice. I have all the gear- downriggers and way too many dodgers, flashers and so forth - for both just haven't ever been to the Gorge. The other boat mates on this trip don't want to fork over the $$$ for a reciprocal stamp so we are planning to just stay on UT waters.

Stay in Manila , good numbers ok kokes hanging in the Rawlins area up towards the pipeline. However, your just into Wyoming there also. Still nice fish down in the canyon and sheep creek area. Also try chock cherry area. Good luck.

Caught 4 lost twice as many. All before 10am then wind kicked up a notch and fishing just slowed - couple of bites an hour but very light hits. Another boat near us was doing very well - they landed over a dozen. Seemed the flasher/dodger color of the day was copper. No rainbows or lakers. Not bad for first trip. Will be back but this time I'll have a WY stamp!
