I was in the shop turning down downrigger weights yesterday and ran across some .750 ss rod and thought I should make some new fish wackers my origanal one was 30 years old but looks new and every one that I fish with always wants to steal it. they are 14'' long and are deadly, easy to clean, and don't tear up the fish when wacked the bottom one in the first picture is the first one I made 30 years ago the others are yesterdays project ready to be polished. when I get board I build stuff

df,man those look lethal!!!!! My personal "Fish Mauler" is a wood approx 14-15".It works great and hurts like blazes when you hit your knuckles. You could ward off boarding pirates with the ones you made . So aim carefully or you could end up with busted knuckles or a hole in your boat. TM

ok every good wacker needs a scabbard! I was going fishing the other morning and my budy had to work so I was looking at my wackers and remembered how I keep it in the side tray to keep it from rolling around or hang it from the cooler and thought, I got to come up with a better way (its been 30 years) so I thought scabbard. so I found some aluminum tig welded the bottom and drilled a drain hole, cut and arched the top and made the back so it will clip to my fishing tray or the lower lip on the boat side trays . here are some pics. dfly
